We are very lucky to live so close to parks and green spaces including Alexandra Palace, Parkland Walk, Queens Woods and Highgate Woods and Priory Park. We are working with Haringey Council’s Parks and Greenspace Team and Alexandra Palace’s Creative Learning Team to understand residents use of the parks, links to Wood Green and to develop ideas for the south-eastern corner of the park. We are also working to develop the Campsbourne Building (formally Dinosaurs Playgroup) into a community centre with the CCC hosting the space as a community anchor. Residents have also engaged with a feasibility study to explore the potential for a wetlands space in Alexandra Palace.
And some of our community researchers have also been involved with an arts-based project on ‘nature-based integration’ led by Kingston University in collaboration with ‘Living Under One Sun’ in Tottenham.
